What to do this Halloween!
Every year, you take the kids out trick-or-treating, and afterwards you sneak a few pieces of that wonderfully sinful Halloween candy when they’re not looking. Well, wine lovers, guess what? Halloween isn’t just for the kids this year…it’s your turn to join in on the fun.
It’s simple (trust me). Here’s what you do: Grab a few of those fun-sized 187 mL bottles of wine in your favorite Sutter Home varietal (or a couple of different varietals to appease everyone’s taste buds), invite your friends over, and have your own trick-or-treating shindig! In-house, of course.
Now, this kind of “trick-or-treating” doesn’t really involve walking around the block, so it’s best to send the kids out with the spouse while you and your friends have some Halloween fun. Just grab some candy corn (which goes wonderfully with Moscato, by the way), find some creepy, crawly Halloween wine charms, put on your favorite witch (or goblin or ghost) movie and enjoy Hallow’s Eve.
You can also put together some yummy treats for the adults to munch on, so that you don’t have to sneak the kids’ trick-or-treating candy this year. To keep it simple, just go to the store and pick up a couple of your favorite Little Debbie cakes and create a cupcake tower. It’s fun, easy, and definitely appealing to the eye and the stomach.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, try cooking up these scrumptious Sugar Cookies or this recipe for Double Chocolate Bourbon Cupcakes. Deee-licious.
Wine Lovers: How are you planning on celebrating Halloween this year? Any fun, new costume ideas?
