Ingredients:

15 oz can tomato sauce
15 oz can stewed tomatoes
2 tb olive oil
2 tb Italian seasoning
1 tb galric powder
1 tb sugar
1/2 tsp cayenne powder
2 lb ground beef
2 beaten eggs
1 tbs italian seasoning
2 tps garlic powder
6 tbs seasoned bread crumbs
3 tbs Parmesan cheese
7 tbs rocotta
1 tbs garlic powder
4 tbs parmesan
6 tb shredded mozzarella cheese
6 kaiser rolls
1 stick butter
2 tsp garlic powder
6 slices of whole milk mozzarella
6 slices of thinly sliced prosciutto

Instructions:

In saucepan add sauce, tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, italian seasoning, sugar and cayenne simmer until well incorporated. In a small bowl blend rocotta, garlic, parmesan and shredded mozzarella chill while makling patties. In a large bowl mix next 6: ground beef, italian seasoning, garlic, bread crumbs, eggs and parmsean cheese. Form 12 patties you will use 2 patties to create one burger so patties should not be too thick,onto one patty place 1 tsp of chilled cheese mixture top with second patty and seal the edges carefully so the cheese won’t seep out. After you are finished with all 6 burges wrap and refrigerate for 30 mins. Melt butter and mix in garlic powder set aside. Grill burgers, while they are just about ready top each burger with a slice of mozzarella. Cut rolls in half and brush with garlic butter place onto grill and toast. Built your burger, place burger onto toast roll top with prepared sauce add one slice of prosciutto and roll top. Enjoy.

2lbs. 95% lean ground beef
1/4 cup Sutter Homes Burgundy Wine
1/2 cup olive oil,reserve
1/4 cup for Italian bread and greasing the grill rack
1/2 cup yellow onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt, reserve
1/4 teaspoon for tomato sauce and 1/4 teaspoon for ricotta filling 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (8oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tablesoon fresh basil,chopped,but reserve some whole for garnish 1 teaspoon fresh oregano,chopped,reserve some whole for garnish 6 oz. ricotta cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tablespoon fresh Italian flat leaf parsley,chopped, reserve some whole for garnish
1 medium egg, beaten
4 oz. mozzarella cheese, grated
2 garlic cloves, chopped and crushed
2 loaves Italian bread, sliced 1 inch thick

 

Instructions

In a large bowl mix 2lbs ground beef, 1/4 cup Sutter Homes Burgandy Wine, 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Place in refrigerator while preparing tomato sauce. For tomato sauce mix in a small sauce pan 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped, 1 teaspoon fresh oregano, chopped and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Place on the side of the bottom rack on the gas grill on low flame to simmer low for 30 minutes. To prepare the ricotta filling, in a bowl mix 6 oz. ricotta cheese, 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, 1/2 tablespoon fresh, chopped flat leaf Italian parsley, 1 medium egg, beaten and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Place in refrigerator. Take out the beef mixture and divide it into six balls on wax paper. Flatten each ball into a round like pancake. Remove the ricotta mixture and place 1oz. in the middle of each burger. Gather the sides of the burger and cover the ricotta filling. Reshape each burger to inch,oval patties. Place on grill on medium heat turn over once till internal temperature is 160F. Add 1 tablespoon tomato sauce on each patty and place mozzarella cheese on top, close cover of grill till cheese melts. Meanwhile mix the remaining 1/4 cup olive oil with the 2 garlic cloves, crushed and spread on each slice(12)of sliced (1 inch)Italian bread and place on grill until golden brown with grill marks. To plate place 1 slice bread, grill marks up, then burger patty on top and the second slice of bread, grill marks up on top of patty. Slice diagonlly. Add reserved whole herb garnishes decoratively next to the lasagna burger.
