The Sutter Home Gingerbread Bunt Cake

It’s not the holiday season without a little gingerbread. From houses to men, there are many ways to inject a little spice into your festive season. This year, Sutter Home brings you their Gingerbread Bundt Cake, a quicker, easier way to enjoy everyone’s favorite flour with half the cleanup!

What You’ll Need

  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 eggs, whisked and at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup molasses

How To Make

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare your 10-cup bundt pan with grease and flour.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ground ginger, allspice, cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
  4. Place dry ingredients into stand mixer bowl.
  5. Add the eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, buttermilk, and molasses.
  6. Use the paddle attachment and mix on low for about 30 seconds, until the wet ingredients are combined.
  7. Add the flour and continue to mix on low until combined.
  8. Pour the batter into your prepared bundt pan and bake for 45-50 minutes.
  9. Let sit in pan for 10-15 minutes until cool.
