That Sutter Home invented White Zinfandel It was a happy accident in 1975 when the winemaker took some extra Zinfandel grape juice (the red kind) and let it ferment separately from the rest of the more concentrated Zinfandel juice. It ended up being deliciously pink and sweet! We never looked back!
