Ocean’s Eleven

Wine Varietal: Moscato

Ingredients

3 lbs ground sirloin
1 ½ teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
1 ¼ teaspoons sea salt
1 ¼ teaspoons Hungarian paprika
1 ¼ garlic powder (vegetable oil for the grill)
6 Potato Hamburger Buns
Sweet, hot mustard
Mix together:
Read Leaf Lettuce
shredded Romaine Lettuce
shredded 1 small yellow apple
shredded 6 slices Hickory Smoked Swiss and Cheddar Cheese
1 small sweet, Spanish onion, sliced
2 Roma Tomatoes
1 Chipotle Pepper in Adobo Sauce
1 mango, sliced into 6 pieces
Spicy mayonnaise

 

Instructions

Preheat the charcoal grill to high. Combine the ground beef with the extra virgin olive oil, the sea salt, Hungarian paprika, and garlic powder, mix well. Divide ground beef into 6 portions. Brush the grill with oil. Place patties on grill and cook 8- 10 minutes on each side for medium. When done, move to warm area of grill and top with cheese. Remove when cheese is melted. Keep warm. Place a cast iron skillet on the grill and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, add sliced onion and cook until caramelized, about 3 minutes. Brush the tomatoes with the Adobo Sauce and place on the grill for 5 seconds on each side. Grill the mango slices for 10 seconds on each side. Chop the pepper. Brush buns (sparingly) with olive oil and place on grill for 30 seconds. Assemble the burger: spread the bottom bun with the mustard, burger w/ cheese, sweet onion, mango, chipotle pepper, tomato, lettuce/apple mixture, spread spicy mayonnaise on top bun and add to finished burger. Serve
