Live in the Vineyard – November 2014: A Spectacular Napa Weekend

Wow! What a spectacular weekend it was for music, wine, and food in Napa Valley, as Live in the Vineyard celebrated 2014’s second edition. Complemented by some particularly gorgeous weather, a picture-perfect time was had by all during this exclusive, three-day Wine Country event.

On Friday evening, music took center stage at The Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater in Yountville, with Marie Miller, Scars On 45, Blue October, Matt Nathanson, and Train each delivering energetic sets that no one will soon forget. Captivated from start to end, the capacity crowd certainly fell for more than one shooting star that night.

On Saturday afternoon, our own Sutter Home Winery served as a beautiful backdrop for an intimate performance from Mat Kearney that was paired with savory bites, sweet desserts, and glasses of Sutter Home wine. As Mat remarked from the stage, “You guys have it rough. Wine in your hand, sultry musicians…” then adding as he laughed, “Sultry? I’ve never used that word in my life. I’m gonna use that word more. It’s a descriptive wine word.” Sounds perfect to us, Mat!

In addition to fan favorites like “Ships In The Night” and “Hey Mama,” Live in the Vineyard guests were among the first to witness live performances of two songs from Mat’s forthcoming album, including his super-catchy new single, “Heartbeat,” and the title track, “Just Kids.” Talented, funny, and an all-around great guy, we’re so happy to have hosted Mat at our winery home. (Thanks again for the exclusive interview, Mat!)

Later that evening, Live in the Vineyard winners and guests couldn’t help but feel like one of the ‘cool kids’ as they headed back to The Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater for another stellar musical lineup, including Jamie Scott, Bea Miller, Echosmith, Meghan Trainor, and Ingrid Michaelson. All the hearts at Live in the Vineyard were definitely beating for great music, food, and wine as the weekend drew to a close.

We gathered some of our favorite snapshots from Live in the Vineyard into a Facebook photo album so you could enjoy an up-close peek at this exclusive event. For your chance to win a trip and join in the fun next year, follow us on Facebook for all the details as they become available. Cheers!
