It’s Fourth of July! Get Grilling!
As Fourth of July looms right around the corner, I’ve been planning my big backyard celebration. I have people coming to visit from all over the country so I’m doing a classic BBQ. I’ve been living and breathing Build a Better Burger since the contest opened in April. I pulled some of my favorite winning recipes from the contest and I’ve been testing them out over the past couple weeks. I finally decided on cooking up the Napa Valley Basil-Smoked Burger. It’s not too complicated to make and since I have guests visiting from out-of-town, I thought a Napa Valley themed burger would be perfect! Here’s the recipe.

My friends all have varying wine tastes, to say the least. My aunt from Chico, LOVES White Zinfandel. My friend from Santa Rosa is a big Merlot fan. So, to make things easier on me as well as my friends, I’m picking up Sutter Home 187 ml bottles…you know, those small individual-sized bottles that come in the four-packs. They are absolutely great for entertaining because I can throw these in an ice bucket and let my guests choose the wine they like the most. Plus, they’re now in unbreakable bottles so I don’t have to worry about glass on the patio.
