Entry troubles?

Entry troubles?

Hi all! Hope you caught Jeff on the Today Show yesterday!

I have been getting a few emails from those of you having trouble with the online entry submission page. I guess once you hit “preview” it comes back blank? If this is happening to you, the best thing to do would be to try another web browser, like Firefox or something. I’m using Internet Explorer and have been submitting some test recipes and it seems to be working but the web team here says that a new browser is the best way to go if you’re having trouble.

It could also be that the server is timing out and that’s why it isn’t saving any data. The bad news is that there is no way around this, other than to be a SuperTyper and enter your recipe with fingers of fury.

The good news is that we can always take recipe entries via good ol’ fashioned snail mail.

To enter by U.S. postal mail, type your name, complete address, and telephone number at the top of an 8 1/2 x 11-inch piece of paper (smaller-sized paper or cards will be DQ’ed). On the same page, type the category that you are entering: “Beef Burger” or “Alternative Burger,” followed by your recipe in accordance with the Contest Guidelines, using double-space. If necessary, use a second page of the same dimensions and staple the two pages together (unstapled or paper-clipped recipes will be DQ’ed too).

Mail to: BUILD A BETTER BURGER CONTEST 2007, P.O. Box 844, St. Helena, CA 94574. All mail entries must be received via the U.S. Postal Service. Faxes, Federal Express, UPS or any other form of delivery will not qualify as a valid entry. All entries must be postmarked no earlier than May 1, 2007, and be received at the mailing address above by August 20, 2007.

So get those entries in…if you want to try submitting online again, please feel free. You will know your entry has been received once the “Thank You for your submission” page pops up.

This is what we will be calling the Screen of Victory from now on (click it to read the fine print):
