Citrus Punch Recipe by Author Robin Antalek
Bring some zing to your book club gathering with this refreshing citrus punch from The Grown Ups author, Robin Antalek.
“I’ve been in the same book group for fifteen years with ten superb and interesting women. We love to read, but we also love to eat, drink and entertain, serendipitously pairing food with the book of the month. With spring coming, something a little lighter is needed for sure, but it still has to taste good.
A citrus punch can use up all of the winter fruit you might still have around. It’s refreshing, easy and provides a nice antioxidant boost. In a very large lidded glass jar or punch bowl, cut up a ruby red grapefruit, some oranges – blood orange is nice, but any orange will do – and pineapple. Toss into the bottom.
Now add a nice bottle of something light and sweet, even bubbly – white, rose, or moscato – plus a half a cup of gin, a half a cup of framboise, one cup of orange juice, and one cup of grapefruit juice. Add lots of ice and fill to the top with sparkling water. Stir. Serve over even more ice.
Now go ahead and enjoy a lively discussion of this month’s book. It will be delightful!”
