Yet, some mornings we wake up and decide to welcome our Sutter Home Kitchen guests with a breakout breakfast and this is one of them. Discover how easy it is to whip up our very out of the ordinary Blueberry Breakfast Bake. The awesome aroma alone will have everyone doing cartwheels to the kitchen. This fresh Blueberry Breakfast Bake is a real eye-opener especially when you pair it with some refreshingly delicious mimosas, made with a splash of fresh squeezed orange juice and any one of our Sutter Home Sparkling Wines. This perfect pairing will make any morning great.
Blueberry Breakfast Bake
- 1 (12 oz.) day old loaf of bread cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 1 pint of blueberries
- 12 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 8 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2/3 cup milk
- Maple syrup (optional)
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs, sour cream, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Place half of the bread cubes in a buttered 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the blueberries. Pour half of the liquid mixture over the bread and blueberries. Top with remaining bread, blueberries and liquid mixture. Cover and chill overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 min. before baking. Cover and bake at 350 degrees about 30 min. Uncover and bake another 30 min. or until a knife inserted in the
