Back on Track with Your New Year’s Resolutions

Three weeks in…where do your resolutions stand? Did you make resolutions like: work out more, eat healthier, try new wines, have a signature recipe, visit new cities…? If that looks anything like your list, we hope our recommendations below will help you stay on course and feel great about 2011.

Work out more: Follow Active.com on Facebook to get work out tips, getting started ideas and even gear recommendations delivered right to your Facebook news feed!

Eat healthier: We’re all looking for that cool new miracle food that will help you lose weight instead of gain it, right? Usually it’s just a matter of choosing the right foods in the right amount. We love Cooking Light for bringing us delicious recipes while watching out for the bad guys like too much butter or salt.

Try new wines: We can help you with this one – we love to talk about wine. We welcome all wine questions, varietal suggestions for a certain meal, winemaking curiosities…whatever you can think of! Follow us on Facebook for wine & food pairings, new wine suggestions and more! Feel free to ask us any burning wine questions there too – we’re always here to help. Our website has a bunch of great resources for you if you’re just getting started with wine or want to be adventurous and try something new.

Have a signature recipe: With so many food-related websites, TV channels and blogs out there, you’re bound to find something you love. If you are looking for simple & quick, we love visiting AllRecipes. For new ideas for beef, we hit up Beef, It’s What’s for Dinner. For dishes that will knock the socks off your guests, we look at Food Network. For healthy but gourmet meals, we love to visit Cooking Light. Whatever your passion, there’s a site out there to help!

Visit new cities: The travel bug. We all have it even if we don’t indulge in it often enough! We love to find new cities to explore and there are so many closer to home to check out. Road trips are good for the soul, so gather your family or a group of friends, pack for a weekend and hit the road. Stop at roadside diners, take pictures with funny signs, and always remember that the journey can be more fun than the destination.

What are your New Year’s resolutions? How many have you been good on? We’d love to hear from you!
