Sutter Home Wine & Food Pairing Series: Sweet White (& Halloween!)
We thought we’d have some fun with our wine & food pairings today and go with Halloween themed foods! This week’s wine is Sutter Home Sweet White.
This scrumptious wine brings together the sweet, creamy peach and melon flavors of Moscato, the exotic spices of Gewurztraminer, the tart crispness of Chenin Blanc and the heady honeysuckle aromas of Symphony grapes in beautiful, harmonious style. Pair this lightly sweet wine with spicy pepper jack fondue, cayenne pumpkin seeds, caramel apples, bacon-wrapped mini hot dogs, shrimp “blood” cocktail, “massacre” pizza (all meat!), chipotle burger sliders, steak quesadillas (use cheddar!), breaded chicken fingers with sweet & sour sauce, spiced pumpkin cookies with cinnamon frosting.
