Sutter Home Employees Join Team Colavita/Sutter Home on a 25-mile Napa Valley Ride
Gearing up for the 2009 season, both the men’s and women’s professional Colavita/Sutter Home cycling teams came to Napa Valley for some intense but thrilling training in wine country. Over one week, the teams rode far and wide and in and out of the Napa Valley.
At Sutter Home we have many strong employee cyclists so we invited them to ride with the pros through some of the most scenic routes of St. Helena, Rutherford, Oakville and Napa. Although the weather was a little rainy and windy, it sure didn’t deter our employees from putting on their own Colavita/Sutter Home jerseys and taking to the road with 20 of the professionals for a beautiful ride. One of my co-workers and a fantastic photographer, Megan, hung out in the back of the team car and got some beautiful pictures of the employees and pros riding past the vineyards and mustard. For a couple miles of the ride, the cyclists encountered rain but it didn’t slow them down one bit.
