Recipe: Key Lime Tarts

KEY LIME TARTS
Makes 12 individual tarts
1 store-bought pie crust
1 – 11.5 oz. jar Key lime curd
8 Key limes, zested and stirred into lime curd
To make the meringue:
2 large egg whites, room temperature
Pinch of cream of tartar
3 tbsp. sugar
Using an electric mixer, beat egg whites in medium bowl until frothy. Beat in cream of tartar. With mixer running, gradually add sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form.
