All the Ingredients: ​

  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 12 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 6 large eggs, room temperature 
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • Confectioners’ sugar and/or cocoa powder for dusting 

How to Prepare:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Spray a 9” spring form pan with nonstick spray.
  3. Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler.
  4. Beat the eggs and sugar until light and thickened, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Fold melted chocolate into the whipped eggs and sugar until evenly combined.
  6. Pour batter into pan and bake for about 1 hour and 25 minutes. (Note: When ready, an inserted toothpick will come out wet yet not gooey.)
  7. Remove from oven and let cool on a rack.
  8. When completely cooled, remove from spring form pan.
  9. Dust with confectioners’ sugar or cocoa powder.
  10. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
  11. Smile endlessly with delight.
