Game Night? We’ve got the perfect game!

| Posted by juliana for Sutter Home

When the term “game night” comes to mind, you may think of football or baseball or any one of the famous sports that Americans love to play (or watch!) On the other hand, you may think card games or board games. While both are great options for get-togethers, we have a little something in mind to spice up game night. A blind wine tasting! It’s perfect for the holidays when your family is in town and a great excuse to catch up with friends.

Here are the pieces you’ll need for a successful blind wine tasting party:

-A bottle of each of the Sutter Home Wine varietals (try something new!)
-Your friends and family
-A few brown bags to cover the labels (no cheating!) You can ask your local grocery store for extra wine bags.
-Crackers and water to cleanse the palate after each sip
-Pens and paper: Have each person write down the flavors they’re experiencing after sipping each wine along with their guess on which wine it is!

As far as snacks go, view our wine and food pairing recommendations. With the flavors of all different types of wine, you can never go wrong with any light to medium-bodied cheeses like havarti or provolone and table crackers.

So grab your closest friends and family, fire up your taste buds, and get ready for a new and improved “game night” that’s sure to make for a fabulous evening.
