The Maple Curry Burger

Wine Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon


Maple Syrup is one of my husbands favorite things.He grew up in Vermont and loves the flavor. Curry, while it gives this burger a little of an international flair – combines my favorite flavor with his. This is a representation of our relationship and how much we complement eachother, regardless of our differences – we just celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary.


1 lb of ground beef
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup granola (Olde Man Granola)
3 TBSP Curry(good quality hot curry)
1/2 cup sauteed onion (preferrably sweet yellow- however white will do.)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper


Sautee onions until they are tender and have started ti carmelize. Mix ground beef with maple syrup, granola, curry, salt, pepper, and onions. Let sit for 10-30 minutes. Grill until done.
