1 tsp fresh lime juice
6 onion buns sliced
3 tbs of creamy honey (preferably Raps Flower Honey)
Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat a gas grill to medium-high.
To make the patties combine the chuck, thyme, ginger, garlic, sea salt, paprika, ground pepper, cumin, nutmeg and cinnamon in a large bowl. Pour cola over the chuck, cover with plastic wrap and set aside.
To make the cream filling, combine the green onions, sour cream and havarti cheese. Pour the crushed Kettle chips on a plate. Take one spoonful of the cream filling and from into a small patty . Cover the patty with the crushed Kettle chips. Repeat until six patties are formed.
To complete the patties, divide the meat into six portions. Take one portion at a time and from around the cream filling to create one stuffed patty. Repeat until all six patties are completed. Spread bar-b-q sauce over each patty and sprinkle on the dried onion before placing on the grill.
To make the summer time salad combine the cabbage, apple, green onion and lime juice in a small bowl. Cover and set aside on ice or in the refrigerator to chill.
When the grill is heated just right, place the patties on the rack and cover. Let cook for about 5 to 8 minutes or until slightly charred on each side, only turning the patty once. Spread the honey on the bottom side of the buns, wrap in foil and set on grill for about 3 minutes.
To assemble the burgers, place one patty on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the summer time salad. Add the top bun and enjoy.
