Ingredients

Wilt Me Away Salad
6 cups of leaf lettuce
24 strips of bacon
2 cups of little green onions
2 cups of crumbled roquefort bleu cheese
1 avocado
Wilt Me Away Patties
2 pounds of ground chuck
1/8 cup of green onions
3 tablespoons of kosher salt
1 tablespoon of ground black pepper
1/8 cup of bacon drippings
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
Vegetable oil for grill rack
6 kaiser buns
Colavita olive oil

 

Instructions

Prepare charcoal grill until coals are hot and glowing. To prepare salad, wash and tear leaf lettuce.Then fry your bacon and reserve bacon drippings.Finely chop green onions and avocado. Mix lettuce,green onions,crumbled bacon, bleu cheese and avocado. This has to be in a glass bowl. Place in refrigerator. To prepare patties,mix the ground chuck, green onions,garlic, salt,pepper, and bacon drippings. Pat out 6 patties and make indention in the center of each patty.This is to help keep patty flat. Hopefully, your grill should be ready. Spread your coals out. Then brush your grill rack with vegetable oil. Place your patties on the outer cicumference of the fire and cover. Cook on each side for about 7-8 minutes. This is for a medium cooked burger. Once the burger has been flipped,place kaiser rolls brushed with olive oil on outside perimeter of grill. Remove from grill when done. Now to assemble,place burger on bun.Remove salad from refrigerator and heat bacon drippings.Take a cup full of salad and place on each burger.Drizzle 1/8 cup of bacon drippings on the salad. Place top of bun on burger.You will be "wilted away" with this burger! Makes 6 burgers
