Viking Burger

This Burger has a hint of sweetness because of the Norwegian cheese. It is very simple to make and tastes great.


1 lb of 85% lean ground beef.
1 cup of shredded Ski Queen Gjetost (Norwegian Goat Cheese). Ski Queen is the only brand you can buy here in the U.S.
Salt and Pepper to taste.
4 hamburger rolls.


Break up the hamburger and add the cheese. Mix the cheese in well and form 1 to 1 1/2 inch thick burgers. Place in fridge for 15 minutes. Preheat grill to medium to medium high heat. Take burgers and place a thumb print in the middle. This will make the burger cook nice and round and flat. Sprinkle the burgers with salt and pepper to taste. Cook burgers 5 minutes a side or until desired doneness. 5 minutes a side will be medium rare. Place on buns and enjoy.
