Veggie Explosion Burger

This recipe is an alternative recipe which is low in saturated fat and cholesterol. It is great for vegetarians, vegans, dieters, and those who just want to eat healthier.


1 package veggie "hamburger meat"
1 package whole wheat buns
1/2 cup onion, minced
1/2 cup tomatoes, diced
1/2 cup black beans, cooked and drained
1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup garlic, minced
1/4 cup oregano
1/4 cup basil
1 tbsp. sea salt


Combine all ingredients except whole wheat buns in a large mixing bowl. Form approximately four patties with hands. Grill burgers until brown on each side. Serve with buns. Top with soy cheese, organic ketchup, relish, and/or mustard.
