Twist 'n' Turkey Burger

My wife doesn't eat "real" (beef) burgers, so in a 2 day burger experimenting marathon I finally perfected this succulent juicy turkey burger. A true act of love! Now my wife is a complete addict and I would trade a "real" burger for this any night. Best of all this burger pairs fantasticaly with white AND red wine.

1 pound ground turkey
1 organic egg
1 cup plain bread crumbs
3 tsp sesame oil
1 dash soy sauce
1 dash balsamic vinegar
¼ onion chopped
2 crushed garlic cloves
1½ tsp chopped fresh basil
1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
½ tsp chopped fresh thyme
1 pinch lemon pepper (if not available mix black pepper with a dash of lemon juice)
extra virgin olive oil
4 large Viennese rolls
cheddar cheese,
roasted tomato salsa or ketchup
For the grill:
Chardonnay wine
barrel wood chips

First put ground turkey in a bowl and form an indentation in the meat. Then add the egg, bread crumbs. Thouroghly mix the ingredients. Next, add the sesame oil, soy sauce, and the balsamic vinegar. Thouroghly mix the ingredients. Last, the chopped oninon, the crushed garlic, lemon pepper, and prefereably fresh basil, rosemary, thyme are added. Let the turkey burger marinate in a covered bowl for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. When forming the burger patties coat them in olive oil and leave a thumb size indentation in the middle of the patty so the meat can expand on the grill. Grill the patties for 15 minutes on indirect heat and smoke the patties with Chardonnay wine barrel wood chips for the last 7 minutes. Slice the Vienna rolls and grill them for 30 seconds on direct heat before seving.

To finish building the perfect juicy Twist 'n' Turkey Burger we recommend the following trimmings: slices of avocado, lettuce leaves, thinly sliced cheddar cheese, and roasted tomato salsa. Take a bite and you will never want a "REAL" Burger again.
