The Mambo Burger

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.

Ingredients

Sofrito
1 poblano pepper
1 bell pepper
3 cloves of garlic
1 jalapeno pepper
1 bunch of fresh cilantro
1 large onion
Garlic Butter
1/2 softened salted butter
3 cloves of garlic finely minced
Hamburger Mixture
2 pounds ground chuck
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons of Sazon seasoning
1/2 dried currants
6 slices of swiss cheese
6 slices of boiled ham
12 thin sliced dill pickle
3 Tablespoons yellow mustard
6 kaiser rolls, split

 

Instructions

Prepare charcoal grill. Place seeded and chopped poblano, bell and jalapeno peppers, cilantro, garlic and onion in a food processor chopped until a smooth paste forms. Mix ground meat, cumin, currants, sazon and sofrito mixture. Form into 6 patties. Mix softened butter and minced garlic, set aside. Brush grill with oil and place burgers over medium, cover cook for 5-7 minutes on each side for medium. Add swiss cheese to each patty. Brush both side of roll with garlic butter and grill until lightly toasted. Place burger on toasted roll, top with ham, mustard and thin sliced dill pickle.
