2 TBS finely chopped fresh Thyme (divided)
3 TBS Blueberry Fruit Spread (or Jam)
1/4 Cup Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon
6 Slices Hickory smoked Bacon - approximately 6 oz
8 Ounces Goat Cheese
6 Kaiser rolls
6 large Red Leaf Lettuce Leaves

Preheat grill at Med High Flame.

Mix Ground Beef with horseradish and worcestershire.
Shape into 6 equal patties approximately 1 inch thick and set aside.

In a flame-proof 1 Qt sauce pan, mix Blueberries, Jalapeno, 1 TBS of the Thyme, Blueberry Fruit Spread, and Wine. Set on grill and cook, stirring occasionally and cook until blueberries burst and mixture reduces, approximately 20 minutes.

Place bacon in 9 inch saute pan and place on grill. Cook until bacon is crisp. Remove pan from heat and remove bacon from pan. Place goat cheese and thyme in a bowl. Chop bacon into 1/4 inch dice and add to goat cheese and remaining 1TBS thyme mixing well. Set aside for assembly.

Place burger patties on grill. Cook for approximately 8-10 minutes, flipping half way through.

While burgers are cooking, place Kaiser rolls on grill, cut side down, and toast until warm and golden (approximately 2 minutes).

To assemble, place bottom halves of rolls on platter, In the following order, top each with one lettuce leaf, one burger, 1/6 of bacon andcheese mixture, 1/4 cup blueberry sauce and top half of roll. Serve and Enjoy!

This recipe will yield a bit more blueberry sauce than required, but is great to serve on the side for mopping up with roll. In addition, we have served this burger on ciabatta rolls and french bread with wonderful results!

Because of the Worcestershire sauce and bacon, the addition of salt has produced an overwhelmingly salty flavor. Salt has been purposely omitted from this recipe.
