The Kinda Healthy Burger
Hi, I try to be healthy sometimes but cheat here and there. I came up with this burger to try to cut down some of the fat, but not losing any flavor. It doesnt help that my boyfriend whom I live with protests eating healthy but when I came up with this he liked it. So Hope you enjoy!
1. 4-Quarter pound Turkey Burgers
2. Sourdough Bread
3. Red Onion
5. 4 slices swiss cheese
6. roasted garlic
7. light mayo
9. olive oil
1. Roast Garlic: Preheat oven 375, Peel outer layer of garlic, but leave whole. Slice top of garlic off and pour half teaspoon of olive oil on top, cover with foil, roast for 1 hour. 2.Heat pan on stovetop with tablespoon of butter. slice red onion thin. Saute onions until soft. 3. Start grill, when grill is warm place Turkey burgers on grill, when burgers are close to done (done is 160), place slices of swiss cheese on burgers and place sourdough on grill to toast. 4. When burgers are done place to the side to rest. 5. Mix 3 cloves of garlic with half cup of light mayo. 6. While toasted sourdough bread is hot spread a small amount of butter on each side. 7. Start to setup burger. Spread the garlic mayo, place burger on bread, place onions on burger, top piece of bread on top, slice and enjoy!
