The EB3 Burger (Ella’s Basic Balsamic Basil Burger)

Pairs well with:

Pinot Noir

Every pour of our Pinot Noir brings you a delicious blend of berry flavors and the romantic aroma of violet.

Ingredients

2 pounds 90% lean ground beef or sirloin
2 medium eggs
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 clove pressed fresh garlic
1 tablespoon fresh cracked black pepper
1 tablespoon finely chopped/ground basil
6 slices aged white cheddar cheese
romaine lettuce leaves
6 slices of tomato
6 sesame seed buns

Instructions

Mix all ingredients, hand-form equal patties of approximately 1/3 lb each, 1” thick, let stand 10 or more minutes for flavors to blend and the grill to heat up.

Preheat gas grill for 10 minutes on high, reduce heat to medium. Cook burgers on medium for 5-7 minutes or until juices start to run and “sweating” just starts to be seen on top of burgers; flip once, cook another 3-4 minutes.

Add a thick slab of aged white cheddar cheese to each burger and allow to melt for 1-2 minutes with lid down and place sesame buns on middle of rack for toasting. Remove burgers and place on buns, top with sliced tomato and a slice of romaine lettuce and enjoy. Pickle optional.

Will yield medium-well done, but juicy burgers
