This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.

Ingredients

11/2lbs. ground chuck
1/2c shredded carrots
1/2c chopped green onion
1Tbls minced or chopped garlic
1/2Tbls ground ginger
1tsp onion powder
1tsp garlic powder
1/2tsp salt
1/4tsp black pepper
1tsp soy sauce
1tsp red chili flakes(optional)
1 head napa cabbage
1/2c dijonaise
4-6 sesame seed burger buns

Instructions

Begin by shredding the carrots and chopping the green onion. Then mince or chop the garlic which ever you prefer. The napa cabbage should be thinly sliced like a juliene cut and set aside. Now in a large bowl break up the ground chuck into small tablespoon size lumps for easy thorough mixing. Take all the ingredients except for the cabbage, dijonaise and the burger buns and spread them evenly over the ground chuck. Mix with your hands thoroughly, but do not overwork. Divide into 4-6 sections depending on the size you want your burgers. Shape the sections into desired size. Now place them on a hot grill for aproxamitely 2 minutes each side for a nice medium well burger. While waiting, prepare buns by toasting then speading on dijonaise and a layer of napa cabbage. Once burgers are done lay on top of cabbage and close the bun.
