Ingredients

2 cups yellow cherry tomatoes halved
2 cloves of garlic minced
6 green onions julienned
6 mint leaves julienned
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
4 tbs olive oil
1 1/2 lb ground chuck
1/2 lb regular breakfast sausage (not links)
8 oz can crushed pineapple, drained
1 med. red bell pepper finely chopped
2/3 cup teriyaki sauce (plus 1/2 for glazing on grill)
6 egg hamburger rolls
6 tbs mayo
Oil for brushing grill (as needed)

Instructions

Prepare grill to medium high heat. In a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, garlic, green onions, mint leaves, salt, and pepper. On a large piece of heavy-duty tinfoil, place tomato mixture and drizzle with olive oil. Fold tinfoil over to tightly cover and seal tomato mixture and set aside until ready to grill burgers. In a large bowl combine chuck, breakfast sausage, pineapple, bell pepper, and 2/3 cup teriyaki sauce with hands until just mixed. Form six burgers. Place tomato foil package over indirect heat of grill. Lightly oil prepared grill and grill burgers 4-6 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness. Brush burgers once on each side with additional teriyaki sauce. When burgers are cooked remove from heat and take off tomato foil package as well. Lightly toast rolls on grill. Spread 1 tbs of mayo on each roll. Place burger on bottom roll, place about 1/3 cup of tomato mixture on top of burger and top with remaining side of roll and enjoy!
