Tasty Turkey Burger
Because you can make it with minimal prep, minimal mess, minimal fuss, and it comes out practically the same every time!
one medium choped onion
one small choped green pepper
1 - 1.5 lb ground turkey meat
1/4 cup of BBQ sauce
1/8 cup teriyaki sauce
1ts garlic powder
1ts ground corriander
salt and pepper to taste
Mix the onion and green pepper in a non reactive bowl
Add to it the ground turkey and mix well with hands
Add to this the BBQ sauce, Teriyaki sauce and the rest of the seasonings.
Mix well with hands
Form into patties - size dependant upon your taste. the bigger the patty size - the longer the cooking time.
Place patties in non stick pan on medhigh heat. Cook about 5 mins on each side - check for doneness. Turkey patties can have NO RED - must be cooked well to avoid potential salmonella.
Even if overdone - burgers should still be moist and juicey! Serve wiith side of cold salad (potato or pasta) and corn on the cob. No bun necessary! Very carb healthy!
