Tangy Beef Burgers

This is a great burger that combines beef and pork. Any of a number of toppings can be used, but I have listed my favorites.

Ingredients 

1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
6 oz. (50%less fat) mild pork sausage
3 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
2 tablespoons tomato chutney
1/2 package onion mushroom soup mix (dry)
1 teaspoonseasoned salt
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Toppings:
mustard,
ketsup,
tomato,
lettuce,
pimento cheese

Instructions 

Mix all ingredients thoroughly with hands and form into 6 patties. Place on 350 degree gas grill. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes until patties are just slightly pink in the center. Remove from grill, place each burger on the bottom half of a large sesame seed bun. Top with one teaspoon of pimento cheese (your favorite brand or homemade). Add any or all of the listed toppings and place other half of bun on top. Enjoy!

My wife and daughters don't like to eat very much red meat, but this is an exception and a winner with them. The pork works in combination with the beef to give a more delectable burger. I originally put cheddar cheese on top, but my wife convinced me that pimento cheese would be tastier. This tangy burger is one of my most requested grilling items.
