Taco Burger

Although mexican food is not regional to Michigan, we had plenty of garden fresh vegtables each summer and I love taco salads...as I grew up learned to enjoy grilling and smoking foods. This is when I developed my Taco burger.

Ingredients 

Burger Ingredients
6 buns
3# burger
1 envelope Taco Seasoning
1 can kidney beans
6 oz Mexican blend cheese
6 Lettuce leafs
6 slices of tomato

Dressing Ingredients
1 c oil
3/4 c sugar
1/3 c catsup
1/3 c vinegar
1 t Worcestershire
1 minced onion

Instructions 

Place dressing ingredients in blender mix for 1 minute on medium. Refrigerate.
Drain and rinse kidney beans, set aside.
Mix taco season into burger
Make 12 patties
Place large spoon of kidney beans and 1 oz of cheese onto six patties
Top with the remaining six patties and press around edges to seal
Grill burgers, lightly toast the buns
Spread a spoonful of sauce on each side of the bun
Dress with lettuce & tomato
