Surf-N-Turf Burgers with a spicy, garlic butter sauce

This wine is bursting with crisp, refreshing fruit flavors like apple, pear, and melon, making you want to swing your legs off a dock at sunset.

Ingredients

– 2 pounds of ground beef
– 2 1/2 teaspoons of seafood seasoning
– 6 bacon strips,diced
– 1 stick unsalted butter
– 1/4 cup of your favorite Dry Sutter Home White Wine
– 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
– 2 fresh garlic cloves,minced
– 2 teaspoons of  seafood seasoning
– 1/2 tablespoon of Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard
– 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
– 1 teaspoon Red Hot Sauce
– 12 frozen snow crab legs ( thaw in the refrigerator. Crack open and shred the meat)
– 12 large uncooked shell on shrimp ( peeled, deveined and diced) – 1 teaspoon fresh oregano
– 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme
– Colavita Olive Oil (for oiling the grill)
– 6 good quality fresh Kaiser rolls

 

Instructions

Place two pounds of ground beef in a large bowl and sprinkle with 2 1/2 teaspoons of seafood seasoning. Combine and form into 6 patties. Do not over mix. Set aside. Bring your gas grill to medium heat. Heat a large skillet over the grill and add your bacon. Cook until crisp. Drain bacon and remove the drippings from the pan. Return to heat and add the stick of butter. When the butter has melted add the wine and lemon juice. Stir and then add the garlic. Cook garlic for about 2 to 3 minutes stirring constantly. Do not let the garlic brown. Next add 2 teaspoons of seafood seasoning, Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard, chili powder and hot sauce. Stir until well combined. Next add the crab meat and diced shrimp. Cook until the shrimp becomes cooked through. About 3 minutes. Then add your oregano, thyme and bacon. Stir until combined. Remove your skillet from the grill, tent with foil and leaving an opening to vent. Brush your grill with Colavita Olive Oil. Place the burgers on the grill and cook over medium heat for about 5 to 6 minutes. Flip and continue to cook for an additional 5 to 6 minutes. Look for when the juices start to run. This will give you a med. rare burger. While burgers are cooking brush the tops and bottoms of your cut rolls with some of the seafood butter sauce. When burgers are cooked move over to the side and grill your buns. Remove the burgers and buns from the grill. Turn your gas grill to high and return your skillet of seafood to the grill to warm up for 1 minute. Meanwhile assembe your burgers leaving the top bun off. Using a slotted spoon, drain and equally divide the seafood topping among the burgers. Next drizzle around a tablespoon or more of the spicy, garlic sauce on top of your seafood and top with the remaining bun half.
