These burgers are always a hit. For most people half of a stuffed burger patty(sliced crossways) is plenty. I remember as a child, my parents fixing these for company! They were always a treat.
2 lbs lean ground beef minced
dried onion flakes
salt & pepper worchestershire sauce
Divide ground beer into six equal parts. Flatten to make large patties (approx. 1/2" thick)on waxed paper. Set three patties aside. Sprinkle 11/2 teaspoons of onions, salt and pepper on three of the patties. On the same patties, place two slices of cheese in the center of the patty - careful not to go to outter edge. Pour 1 tablespoon of worchester sauce on each of the same patties. Peel remaining patties from waxed paper, one at a time and seal one at a time on each flavored patty. Crimp edges together all the way around patty to hold "stuffing" in. Cook on grill to desired doneness. Carefully remove from grill. Place patty on a plate and slice crossways with spatula. Place immediately on prepared bun. Enjoy!
I toast our hamburger buns in a skillet after spreading a small amount of butter on the inside of each half.
