Spiced Juicy Dutch Burgers
This is a recipe my mother and I used for years for burgers and meatballs. We came up with it ourselves and all ingredients are fresh. I prefer to use local grassfed beef and eggs, but not everyone can get that. Grassfed beef has more of the right fats. The oatmeal and eggs keep the meat extra juicy.
2 lb Natural Beef
1 cup oatmeal
1 tablespoon fresh ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Place the beef in a mixing bowl. Add the eggs, oatmeal, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Mix thoroughly. Form into 6 patties. Cook on a grill 10-15 minutes until done but juicy.
Place on bakery fresh buns with lettuce, onions and summer tomatoes. Condiments as needed.
