Southwest Turkey Burger

I created this recipe when my husband and I wanted a flavorful burger, but didn't want the guilt from a regular burger. It's easy, delicious, and low cal.

Ingredients 

1 1/3 lb. ground Turkey breast
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 red onion,diced
1 jalapeno,seeded and finely chopped
2 tbsp. fresh thyme, chopped
2 tbsp. fresh cilantro
1/2 yellow bell pepper, sedded & finely chopped.
2 tbsp.Hot sauce
2 tbsp. grill seasoning
2 tbsp. ground cumin
olive oil, for drizzling
1 cup sweet red pepper relish
green leaf lettuce
Kaiser rolls, split
1/2 lb. sliced pepper jack cheese

Instructions 

Chop garlic, red onion,jalapeno,bell pepper and cilantro. Place ground turkey in bowl, add garlic, red onion, jalapeno, bell pepper, thyme, cilantro,cumin,grill seasoning and tabasco hot sauce. Mix well and form into patties.Drizzle patties with olive oil on both sides. Grill indoors or outdoors or in a skillet. Cook on med-high heat for 5-6 min. on each side. Place sliced cheese on patties the last few minutes of cooking. Place pepper relish on sliced rolls(both sides).Place patty on bottom roll, top with lettuce and then top bun. Enjoy.
