Smokin Sweet Hog Burgers
You haven't lived till you've wrapped your lips around one of these Smokin Sweet Hog Burgers. It's like a little piece of hog heaven brought to you by the BBQ Gods.
Fresh ground lean pork meat.
Granny smith apples.
Salt & pepper.
Cajun spice rub.
Take 2lbs. lean ground pork put in a bowl to mix. Dice apples in small cubes add to meat then mix salt, pepper, cajun spice, rub garlic powder, all to taste. Then add into meat, mix well then make nice thick pattys bun size. Now take two large red onions slice thick 4 or 5 slices. Then mix flour, S&P, dredge onion slices in the flour and fry in about 1 inch veg oil till nice and crisp on both sides. These will top the burgers. Now fire up the BBQ use some apple wood chips or chunks for some nice smoke. When the burgers are almost done take you faverite BBQ sauce to brush on both sides I like to use one with molasses in it, it brings out the flavor of the pork. How to build brush BBQ sauce on buns both sides laydown burger and onion slice on bun and slap together enjoy. (MMMMMMMMM-Good stuff)
This is a simple recpie but a real crowd pleaser. Most folks can't eat just one.
