Smokey Burgers on the Barbie

Ingredients

3 Tablespoons Liquid Smoke
3 Tablespoons Store brand Brown Sugar
1-1/2 Teaspoon Salt
3-1/2 Teaspoons Coarse Ground Black Pepper
1/4 Cup Hickory Brown Sugar Barbecue Sauce
3 Teaspoons Grey Poupon Mustard
1-1/2 Pounds Ground Beef Burger 93/7 fat ratio
Vegetable oil to brush grill
6 Slices Wisconsin Smoked Cheddar Cheese
6 Tablespoons Mayonaise
6 Large Sweet Buns with Onion bits on top
12 Slices Maple Flavored Pre-cooked Bacon
6 thinly red onion slices, separated into rings
6 Tablespoons Hickory Brown Sugar Barbecue Sauce

 

Instructions

Combine Liquid Smoke, Brown Sugar, Salt, Black Pepper, 1/4 cup Barbecue Sauce, and Mustard in Medium Bowl. Stir until completly blended. Using a fork gently separate ground beef into pieces and let fall ontop of combined mixture in bowl. Mix lightly and gently shape into six patties. Prepare medium heat fire in grill. Brush grill rack with vegetable oil. Place burgers on rack and cook 5-7 minutes each side for medium. In Last minutes of grilling top each pattie with 1 slice cheese. Spread 1/2 Tablespoon Mayonaise on each cut side of bun and place on outer edges of grill and toast lightly. Place bacon on grill and cook until sizzling. Remove buns, Place bottom of bun on plate and top with one pattie, 2 slices of bacon, red onion slices and 1 Tablespoon Barbecue Sauce. Place bun top on burger and serve.
