I enjoy the flavor of smoked Gouda cheese and thought it would be delicious inside a burger vs. on top. This cheese gives the burger a distinct flavor and keeps it very moist.

2 lbs. ground round beef
1/4 lb. ground pork
1/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
3 tsp. chili powder
1 tbs. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red cayenne pepper
1 and 1/3 cups shredded smoked Gouda cheese
6 Kaiser rolls
1/2 stick softened butter
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 tbs. honey
2 tbs. Grey Poupon
jar Vlassic dill pickle stackers

Place ground beef and pork in large mixing bowl. Put bread crumbs, chili powder, sugar, salt and pepper in small ziploc bag. Seal and shake till spices are well blended. Sprinkle contents over meat. Add shredded cheese to meat as well. Gently mix with your hand till all seasoning and cheese are evenly incorporated throughout meat.Form into 6 equal patties. Heat gas grill or BBQ coals to 300 degrees. Grill the patties approx. 8 minutes per side, turning only once, for medium well done burgers. While patties grill brush inside of rolls with softened butter. Also prepare honey mustard. Whisk mayo, honey and Grey Poupon till blended and set aside. After removing cooked burgers to platter, place buns butter side down on grill to toast. Watch closely it only takes 1 to 2 minutes to add color. To assemble, place one burger on bottom of each bun and top with 2 Vlassic dill stackers. Slather honey mustard on top half of bun place over pickles. ENJOY!

This will be a juicy, Smokey flavored burger. The dill pickle gives it a nice crunch too. Even my 4 year old liked this burger.
