Simple bleu cheese burgers
These burgers are simple, and delicious.
1 lb. ground beef
6 - 8 oz. wedge good quality blue cheese
4 large white or yellow onions
Slice and saute onions in a bit of olive oil or butter. For each burger, make 2 thin patties. On one burger patty, place a mound of crumbled bleu cheese. Place other patty on top, and press edges to seal. Grill to desired doneness, and top with caramelized onions.
This is one of my favorite simple dinners in the summertime, and ideal for eating outdoors. Serve with a simple green salad. A nice red wine goes perfectly with them.
