Shrimp Burger Italiano

You won’t need a bouquet of flowers when you share our Pinot Grigio. This crisp wine with floral aromas is a wonderful way to make an entrance.

Ingredients

Shrimp Burgers
*2 Lb. medium sized shrimp, peeled and deveined
*2 Tsp. garlic, chopped
*1/2 small onion, chopped
*1 egg
Creamy Tomato-Basil Sauce
*1 Tbs. olive oil
*1 small onion, finely chopped
*2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
*1 can diced tomatoes, drained
*3 tbs. chopped basil
*2 tbs. chopped flat-leaf parsley
*1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
*1/4 teaspoon salt
*1/4 teaspoon black pepper
*3 tsp. Mayonnaise
Grilled Tomatoes
*1 tomato, sliced in 1/4 in. slices
*1 tsp. finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
*dash salt
*dash pepper
*Sesame seed burger buns
*1/2 cup melted butter, infused with garlic
*1/2 lb mozzarella cheese

 

Instructions

*Prepare your ingredients: Devein shrimp. Chop shrimp, garlic, and onion. *Put the shrimp into the food processor, and blend until chunky. Remove from food processor, add chopped onion, garlic, and egg. work with hands until thoroughly blended. form into patties. *Prepare your ingredients Drain your tomatoes Chop onion, garlic, basil and parsley *Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onion. Stir frequently until tender. Add drained tomatoes, basil, parsley,salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3-5 minutes. Gradually stir in cream. Cook, stirring frequently, for 8-10 minutes or until thick. Put into bowl until assembly of burgers. *Grill burgers 5 to 6 minutes on each side *dress the sliced tomatoes with the parsley and season with salt and pepper grill on aluminum foil until tender. *brush burger buns with garlic-butter. toast in a skillet *ASSEMBLY OF BURGERS: Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on the bottom of the bun. Add the burger patty, followed by the grilled tomato. Drizzle with creamy tomato-basil sauce.
