2 pounds ground lamb
1 cup onions chopped fine
5 clove garlic large, minced
5 teaspoons fresh mint chopped
2 teaspoon cumin ground
1teaspoon coriander ground
1 cup parsley fresh chopped
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 head lettuce
3 Roma tomatoes chopped
1 qt. yogurt plain, nonfat preferably
1 cucumber peeled and chopped
6 Hamburger Buns
Combine first nine ingredients in large mixing bowl.
Mix tomatoes, yogurt and cucumber in bowl, set aside.
Create six patties from mixture.
Grill gently 3-5 minutes each side over medium heat, careful not to overcook so it will not be dry.
Place a tsp of yogurt mixture on bottom bun, then burger top with another tsp yogurt mixture and piece of lettuce then top bun.
We like a little crazy stuff and adopted a pita recipe for summer grilling ;)
