Redhot Jalapeno Burger

Looking for some healthy zing in your life.


1 pound burger
1 egg
1 clove garlic crushed or chopped
2 medium jalapeno finely chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup salsa
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 Slice of pepper jack cheese
Tomato thinly sliced
Lettuce - chopped
Sour cream
8 medium hard roll hamburger buns
1 stick softened butter


Mix the first eight ingredients a large bowl until thoughly mixed. Form 8 burgers pressed thin as possible. Cook just like you would a hamburger. In a fry pan or in on the grill. In the last 2 min. of cooking top with cheese. Spread butter on each surface of the bun and toast in a pan or on the grill. This will take only a min. or two. Place burger on bun and top with tomato ,lettuce and sour cream and serve.
