Pizza Burger

This recipe I came up with because of my families love for pizza. I hope others will enjoy it also. Being a setpmother, housewife, and working full time, I needed to come up with something everyone liked and could help with preparing. Even the night before you can get things chopped and mixed. Anything that helps get dinner on the table quicker, I'am all for! Thank you for your time, Janean


2lbs. 80% Ground Beef
1/2 lbs Italian ground sausage
1/2 c diced pepperoni
1/2 c diced Dry Italian Salami
1/3 c Bacon bits salt/pepper
2 med tomatoes sliced
1/2 inch thick
1 med size red onion sliced
1/2 inch 2 green bell peppers sliced 1/2 inch
1/2 lbs. sliced mushrooms
2 cloves garlic minced
1 c maranara sauce
6 slices provo. cheese
olive oil bits


1. Heat grill. Turn one burner on med. heat, and one on low. In med. bowl mix together tom., gr. bell pepper, garlic cloves, mushrooms, dash of salt/pepper and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Wrap in double layered foil. Set aside. 2. In a small sauce pan pour maranara sauce. Place on grill to warm. 3. Place veggies over med. direct heat for 12 minutes. Using spatula not tongs to turn, turn veggies once after 6 minutes. This helps with keeping veggies together nicely. Remove from heat. These will be good hot or at room temp. 4. In med. bowl combine all meats together along with salt and pepper. Mix well. Form into 6 1 inch patties. This thickness will allow patties to cook through without becoming charred. Use you finger to indent patty, this will help with bulging. 5. When ready p;ace patties on grill over med. heated burner first this will make grill marks on the patty. Then place patties on low heated burner to finish cooking. Times will very due to verious types of grills. Keep lid closed turning only once. 6. Split kaiser rolls and brush with olive oil and warm on grill. 7. Put patties on warmed rolls and top with slice of provo. cheese. Add veggies to each burger and then add maranara sauce. Serve with favorite red wine, or milk. Enjoy!!!!!!!
