Pacific Chicken Burger
This burger is about great taste and healthy, good for you ingredients! Ginger, turmeric, garlic and soy sauce what's not to love...
6 good quality hamburger rolls
2 lbs ground white meat chicken
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon powdered turmeric
1 teaspoon black ground pepper
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons white sugar
2 inch nub of ginger peeled and finely grated
3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
vegetable oil to brush on grill
Preheat a gas grill to medium or prepare a med-hot fire in a charcoal grill .
In a plastic zip lock bag quart size , place the garlic,turmeric, ground pepper, soy sauce, sugar and ginger. Mix well.
In a medium mixing bowl place ground chicken and panko then add above soy sauce mixture being careful not to over mix but to incorporate all ingredients. Divide into 6 balls and shape into burgers.
When the grill is ready , brush grill rack with oil. Cook burgers 5-7 minutes on each side. Place the hamburger buns cut side down , on the outer edges of the grill rack to toast lightly during the last 2 minutes of grilling.
Place these tasty burgers on their buns and serve.
This burger is surprising and people of all ages enjoy it. I came up with the idea for this burger after I had read about the potential health benefits of turmeric, ginger and garlic. I really think this is a winner!
