Outside In

I originally began making these burgers when my three children were young because it was easier for them to eat without wearing most of the condiments. My kids are now 25, 26 and 28 and still want their burgers outside in.

1 lb. ground sirloin
2 tbls. steak sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbls. spicy brown mustard
3 tbls. pickle relish
1/4 cup finely chopped sweet vadalia onion

Pour yourself a nice big glass of Sutter Home White Zinfindel to drink while mixing. Send Husband to start the charcoal grill(one of the keys to the "best" burgers, charcoal, not gas grill) Using a large fork, better yet, your own clean fingers, fold in all ingredients until just blended. Shape into hamburger roll size burgers and place on hot grill. Cook until your preference, medium well is popular at our house, and then pour another glass of Sutter Home for yourself and enjoy.

Sometimes, simplicity is best.
