Oriental Mushroom Jack Burger

The inspiration for this recipe actually came from another recipe for Beef Kabobs. We liked the flavor so much of the marinade with grilled mushrooms and beef that decided to incorporate it into a burger. It's simple and delicious!


Oriental Mushroom Jack Burgers
3 lbs of fresh ground chuck
8oz container of fresh white mushrooms, stems removed
2 Tb Olive Oil
2 Tb Soy Sauce
2 Tb Rice Wine Vinegar
Pinch of Salt & Pepper
Monterey Jack Cheese


Whisk Olive Oil, Soy Sauce, and Vinegar together. Marinate Mushrooms in mix an hour or more. Grill mushrooms in grill basket or on skewers until tender. Finely chop grilled mushrooms in a food processor. Mix chopped mushrooms into the fresh ground chuck. Add a pinch of salt & pepper to taste. Form into patties. Freeze overnight if possible, this helps keep the patties together on the grill. Grill chuck/mushroom patties on grill to desired wellness. Top with a slice of Monterey Jack cheese. Enjoy!
