Never, Ever Fail Burger
Burgers need to be juicy and have a firm texture, no matter if it is prepared rare or well done. This burger is a simple but solid recipe that will hold up to taste, texture and cooking skills.
2 lb. Ground beef (85% is best)
1/4 c. finely ground kettle cooked potato chips
1/2 c. finely ground pretzels
3 T. finely chopped onion
3 T. finely chopped fresh baby portabella mushrooms
2 T. Grey Poupon mustard
2 T. (add more or less based on taste) of hot sauce.
Fresh ground sea salt and tri-colored pepper to taste.
1 Sliced Vidalia onions
Prepare ingredients: 1. Mash 1/2 avocado and set aside in a bowl 2. Ground in a food processor, potato chips and pretzels, set aside in a bowl 3. Finely chop onions and set aside in a bowl 4. Finely chop mushrooms and set aside in separate bowl 5. Wash hands thoroughly in preparation to mix all ingredient 6. Put ground beef in a large mixing bowl 7. Add all ingredients in order above and mix with hands after each added ingredient. 8. After thoroughly mixed, make individual patties (8-10). 9. Drizzle Colavita brand extra virgin olive oil over sliced onions as well as ground sea salt and tri colored pepper (to taste). 9. Grill burgers and sliced onions on any type of gas or charcoal grille (this recipe is for the novice or the skilled)
