Mediterranean Burger

This burger was inspired by my Italian heritage. Recipe make six burgers

1-1/2 lbs. ground beef chuck 80% lean
1/4 cup very finely chopped sweet onion
1/2 cup parmesan grated cheese
1/3 cup Italian seasonings
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 piece of wax paper to hold six burgers
6 Kaiser rolls, cut in half
1 packet of Italian Salad Dressing, follow directions on package, reserve 1/2 cup
6 slices provolone cheese
3 leafs romaine lettuce

Spray racks on BBQ'er with Pam and heat BBQ'er on high. Patties Mix together first seven ingredients through garlic powder. Mix well. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions, placing each one on the wax paper.Form each portion into a ball, mixing with both hands so as to further combine all the ingredients in the patty. Flatten patties to fit the rolls and set back on wax paper. Meanwhile, brush both sides of cut side of raiser rolls with the Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing using a pastry brush. When the grill is ready, place the patties on the rack, cover, and cook, turning twice, until done to preference, 4 to 6 minutes on each side for medium. Cooking time may vary depending on how flat the burger is made to fit the Kaiser roll. During the last few minutes of cooking, place the raiser rolls, cut side down, on the outer edges of the rack to toast lightly. Place the toasted rolls on a serving platter. Place a slice of provolone cheese on the top of each burger. The cheese will melt from the heat of the burger. After a minute, when the cheese has slightly melted, place half a leaf of romaine lettuce on each burger. Serve
