6 Roma Tomatoes peeled
2 1/4 lb. Ground Round
1 oz. fresh chopped Basil
1 tsp. salt
Â¼ tsp. pepper
1 cloves finely chopped garlic
9 oz. Fresh Mozzarella
1 tsp. fresh chopped Parsley
4 oz Virgin Olive Oil
12 Thick Slices Italian Bread
8 oz Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
Prepare covered charcoal grill to medium-high heat or preheat gas grill to medium-high heat - 350 degrees.
Place fireproof saucepan on grill and heat a quart of water. Pour boiling water over Roma tomatoes while draining to cool, peel and slice lengthwise.
In large bowl combine Ground Round, Â¾ oz fresh finely chopped Basil, salt, pepper and entire clove finely chopped garlic mixing well. Hand patty 6 oz burgers. Place burgers on heated grill and cook until medium or 5 to 7 minutes on each side. Place 1 Â½ oz Mozzarella cheese on each burger after the first turn letting slightly melt, topping with a sprinkle of fresh chopped Parsley and remaining Basil.
While burgers are grilling, place flat skillet on grill, brush virgin olive oil on one side and grill 12 thick slices of Italian bread. Remove to serving platter and spread vinaigrette dressing on un-grilled side of 6 slices.
Place medium done burgers on un-grilled side of plain bread topping with sliced peeled tomatoes and vinaigrette slice of Italian bread. Cut diagonally and serve warm.
