Ingredients

Ingredients for the burger:
2 lbs. fresh ground chuck
2/3 cup crushed pretzels
2 Tbl. tequila
2 Tbl. fresh squeezed lime juice
2 Tbl. brown sugar
2 tsp. salt
Ingredients for the Garlic/Lime Mayonaise:
2/3 cup prepared Mayonaise
2 Tbl. fresh squeezed lime juice
2 cloves of garlic, minced
(6) slices of Muenster Cheese
(6) Bakery Fresh Hamburger Rolls
(3) cups of shredded Romaine Lettuce
(3) large jalapeno peppers, seeds removed, and peppers sliced. Vegetable oil for brushing the grill

 

Instructions

Preheat gas grill to medium high. To make the patties, place beef in a large bowl. Sprinkle crushed pretzels on top of beef, then add remaining burger ingredients and gently incorporate into beef. handle the meat as little as possible. Divide mixture into 6 portions to form patties. Do not compact meat. To make the garlic-lime mayonaise, combine ingredients and set aside. Brush the grill with oil. Place the patties on the rack, cover, and grill until browned on the bottom, 5 minutes. Flip the patties and continue to cook until disired doneness, about 5-6 minutes for medium. The last two minutes of cooking, place (1) slice of Muenster cheese on top of each burger. Also during the last few minutes of cooking, place the hamburger rolls face down on the grill for 40-60 seconds to lightly toast the buns. To assemble burgers, place patty on the bottom bun and top with 6 jalapeno slices and 1/2 cup shredded Romaine. spread garlic-lime mayo on the top bun and enjoy!
